If you’re missing Jamboard, we’ll also cover the new Padlet sandbox, which combines the interactivity of jamboard with the organizational benefits of a slide deck. You can follow along as we build a demo of a novel study sandbox together, or you can build your own unique creation. Creating Community through Picture Books

Grade Level: PreK-3

Start your school year off by getting to know your students through picture books selected to create a classroom community where individual talents and learning processes are highlighted. Each of the three books featured in this workshop has been selected so that you, the educator, can get to know your students through planned observation which, in turn, will help inform what your classroom community will become.

Online and hands-on activities that showcase your students’ learning styles and individual abilities will be shared during the workshop so that you can use them right away. If you are using Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams, additional resources will be discussed. We will even take a quick dip into Gemini and ChatGPT to show how Generative AI can contribute to your classroom community as well.
