Enhance Your Summer Programming with Asynchronous Student Lessons!
In need of some summer programing support? We’ll be offering asynchronous lessons you can play for your learners! No need to be an expert since we’ll do the teaching.
Make Beats, Learn Code, Speak Up! (Grades 6 and up)
Looking for a unique and engaging summer library program? Join us to explore the exciting intersection of music and technology! You’ll use the EarSketch platform to remix music from artists like Alicia Keys and discover unique sounds from Canadian Indigenous musicians such as Jaylee Wolf and Dr. Duke Redbird. We’ll also talk about important community issues and how you can use your creativity to make a difference. It’s a fun, hands-on way to learn and express yourself this summer at the library!
Library Explorers: Coding Unplugged! (Grades K-3)
Calling all curious kids! This summer at the library, we’re going on a coding adventure without using computers. We’ll play exciting games and do creative activities that teach us how coding works. Learn about patterns, sequences, and how to tell others (and maybe even robots someday!) what to do. It’s all about fun, teamwork, and discovering the magic of coding in a hands-on way!
Thank you to Your Voice is Power and FIRST Canada for funding these lessons so they’re available to librarians and their learners!
