Building Capacity and Confidence with AI

In Partnership with the New Brunswick Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, we are launching a province‑wide AI Readiness and Microsoft Copilot initiative designed to help school leaders and educators use AI to strengthen efficiency, planning, communication, and decision‑making. Through a kickoff webinar, two programs will be profiled:

  • A Training Webinar Series to build foundational and practical AI skills for educators
  • A set of Leader Use Cases to support system and school‑level implementation

This session is open to all staffs and includes a short overview of the Administrative AI Use Case Project for school and district administrators.

Administrative AI Use Case Project

A collaborative NB Lead–aligned learning project for school and district leaders.

In support of the NB Lead program, this project helps school and district leaders explore meaningful AI use cases that strengthen school improvement planning, communication, and student achievement. The project is built around a Community of Practice, where leaders collaborate as co‑learners to address real problems of practice, share strategies, and build collective expertise across schools.

Participants leave with real AI‑supported processes they can apply immediately—improving communication, advancing school improvement planning, and supporting more efficient operations.

What You’ll Gain by Participating

Strengthening Efficiency & Leadership Growth

AI tools help leaders streamline daily tasks, organize information more effectively, and improve school operations. By reducing manual work, administrators gain more time for instructional leadership, staff support, and the school improvement goals central to NB Lead, all while building confidence using AI for authentic leadership tasks.

Enhancing School Planning With AI Tools Integration

Leaders use AI to strengthen school improvement planning, organize priorities, and prepare for school‑wide initiatives. The program supports communities of practice by helping leaders collaborate across family‑of‑schools networks, plan meetings, and communicate more effectively with parents and the wider community. AI also assists with staffing and resource planning through clearer, data‑informed workflows.

Improving Communication & Student Achievement

AI supports clearer communication, faster information sharing, and decisions rooted in real‑time data. Leaders learn to analyze provincial and local assessment results, identify instructional priorities, and apply equitable assessment practices. These insights help monitor progress over time, guide instruction, and improve student achievement across schools.

Real AI Solutions from NB Leaders

Through this AI Use Case Cohort Project, school leaders develop real‑world AI use cases that directly address their daily challenges. By applying Microsoft Copilot to authentic leadership tasks, such as planning, communication, data analysis, and workflow efficiency, administrators create practical solutions that can be shared across the province to support and inspire other schools.
