Hummingbird Project Packs - Rover single

$100.99

CRX048-P

The Hummingbird Project Packs are the perfect launching pads to get to know the Premium Kit and quickly master building and coding skills.

Note: The Project Packs are add-ons to the Hummingbird Premium Kit. You must have a Premium Kit to bring the project pack materials to life.

Three distinct kits offer fast builds, student-friendly tutorials, and extensions for further exploration. With included curriculum, teachers need no more than 2 hours to prepare to teach coding and robotics for the first time. These hands-on experiences inspire young innovators to think creatively and dream up their next invention!

Reusable parts to assemble three unique projects, one project at a time (limited by the number of Premium Kits you have).

  1. Catapult Pack - Design, code, and launch balls with a catapult, using servos and sensors to explore math and physics concepts.
  2. Rover Pack - Build, code, and explore a robotic car using motors, wheels, servos, and sensors like distance and line tracking.
  3. Animatronic Pack - Create an interactive character or robotic head with a pan-tilt design, using servos and sensors for light, sound, and distance.

Build and code one of the projects over 5 class sessions. Disassemble it and then start the next project, building skills and confidence as you go. Each Project Pack offers about 5 class sessions of hands-on learning.

Hummingbird Project Pack curriculum was designed for grades 6-8, with all projects being programmed using MakeCode.  For extension options, the Hummingbird Robotics Kit is also compatible with the following FREE programming environments:

  • BirdBlox (block-based - available on iOS, Android, Fire OS)
  • MakeCode (block-based - available on Chromebooks, Mac, Windows, Linux)
  • Snap! (block-based - available on Chromebooks, Mac, Windows)
  • Python (text-based - available on Chromebooks, Mac, Windows)
  • Java (text-based - available on Mac, Windows)

Hummingbird Premium Kit required and sold separately.

We offer a rechargeable power bank accessory that runs a Hummingbird robot with 2 active motors for 6+ hours! Consider 1 power bank per Premium Kit.
