Description: Explore with your students in this year’s Hour of Code 2021 Minecraft: Education Edition lesson, ‘Timecraft’. By travelling back in time, students will put their coding skills to the test to help correct historical issues that have occurred in the past. Students will enhance their creative thinking skills to solve challenges using code by utilizing Minecraft’s MakeCode blocks as well as diving deeper into more advanced coding techniques through the coding language Python. 

Objectives: 
Understand the importance and benefits of computer science in all aspects of life.
Analyze and solve problems using algorithmic thinking and problem decomposition.
Practice computer science concepts such as sequences, events, loops and debugging.
Create coding solutions to successfully complete a task or solve a problem in MakeCode or Python.
Recognize the expanded career connections offered through computer science.
