Logics Academy is pleased to announce a partnership with JA British Columbia to provide coding education and teacher support to select grades 4 – 6 classrooms in the province using RoboGarden Playground software.

Students across British Columbia will have the opportunity to learn to code using this game-based coding education tool. User-friendly resources and comprehensive training and support from Logics Academy will ensure that teachers and students engage in a meaningful experience, regardless of their skill level.  Students will move through this 10-week program at their own pace and participate in fun quizzes to help measure their understanding of coding concepts.  Block-based programming will be introduced along with other critical 21st-century skills.

JA prepares young people for the future of work, teaches them how to think entrepreneurially, and ensures they have the tools to be financially capable adults. Together with Logics Academy, an organization focused on ensuring that all Canadian students develop comprehensive digital skills, they are excited to expand their programming and introduce this opportunity to British Columbia classrooms.

With the importance of coding in today’s world, we are pleased to work with Logistics Academy and offer Robogarden as part of our program menu. Experiences like this help students prepare for the world of work.”

Sheila Biggers, President and CEO of JA British Columbia

“We are excited to join forces with JA British Columbia to assist in the development and rollout of this turnkey coding program.  Our experience with Robogarden combined with our knowledge of and involvement in digital literacy education with Canadian teachers will allow us to add value to the strong relationships JA has with their BC partners.”
