Description: Explore with your students in this year’s Computer Science Education Week an activity around building and crafting in space with MakeCode. Students will put their coding skills to the test as they follow coding instructions to solve puzzles in space. Using Minecraft’s Agent, students will be able to collect samples from planets in space while learning coding concepts in MakeCode such as while loops, “agent inspect”, “agent detect”, if/else conditional statements and more.
Objectives:
Learn how to develop a plan that describe a sequence of events, goals and expected outcomes of coding
Decompose (break down) problems into smaller, manageable subproblems to help in the program development process
Follow coding instructions to solve puzzles in space
Code a program that includes sequences, events, loops and conditionals

Description: Explore with your students in this year’s Computer Science Education Week an activity around building structures with MakeCode and Math. Students will put their coding skills to the test in this projectbased learning activity by solving math problems in order to build their structure on iPad. Students will then enhance their skills by using MakeCode to code the agent to help build their structure using coding fundamentals such as sequences, loops and more. Students will also use iPad’s accessibility features as they dive into the Minecraft world along with gaining tips and tricks in easily sharing portfolios for assessment.Objectives:

Description: Explore with your students in this year’s Computer Science Education Week, an activity around building roads in a city in Minecraft. Explore mathematical concepts as students build their road to survival. Students will use Minecraft: Education Edition to write equations to figure out how many blocks they will need to construct roads and more!
Objectives:
Use parentheses, brackets, or braces in numerical expressions, and evaluate expressions with these symbols.
Write simple expressions that record calculations with numbers, and interpret numerical expressions without evaluating them.
Convert among differentsized standard measurement units within a given measurement system and use these conversions in solving multistep, realworld problems.
Generate two numerical patterns using two given rules. Identify apparent relationships between corresponding terms. Form ordered pairs consisting of corresponding terms from the two patterns, and graph the ordered pairs on a coordinate plane.
