Join Logics Academy in exploring how to guide and engage your students in Minecraft: Education Edition and the 2021 Global Build Challenge: Peace with Nature. Minecraft Education has partnered with UNESCO for a global build challenge on the Sustainable Development Goals where students will design climate solutions for their communities that protect our planet, and educators can integrate the program into their curriculum with special classroom activities. This is a unique opportunity to engage learners and energize the school community in a critical global issue!
Agenda - Activity 1 - Introduction to Minecraft: Education Edition, the Challenge & Sustainable Development Goals:
- Introduction to M:EE interface, and creating/navigating worlds
- Understanding game settings that support a new user
- Move, place and destroy blocks in a Minecraft world including an introduction to this build challenge
- Classroom set-up instructions & groups/student management
- What are Sustainable Development Goals? How to get started in building a solution to reflect these goals.
