Description: Explore with your students and inspire them to take part in app development along with the design thinking process in this inclusive innovation event. Using the Everyone Can Code App Design Journal for grades 4–8, students will begin by identifying and brainstorming problems they would like to solve using an app from a group of categories. They will then plan for and build a prototype of their app using Keynote and Sketch to help bring their ideas to life. This event will guide students as they embark on an innovation journey in app development using various examples along the way to spark their interests. Inspire your students’ great ideas with an hour‑long Inclusive App Design Activity. Learners will identify problems they care about, then plan, prototype, and share app ideas that everyone could access and understand.

Empower learners to build apps and share their stories with the new Celebrating You coding activity. Swift is a programming language created by Apple that’s as easy to learn as it is powerful to use. The commands are based on words you already know, like “jump” and “forward”.  And it’s used by the pros to create the most popular apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch.
